Primer has always been a step in a make up I either didn’t see the point of or was not coordinated enough in a morning to perform. If you have a dry skin, it might be great for you, smoothing the skin or preventing dry patches. But if your skin is oily…well, it’s not like it’s going to make much of a difference.
The only reason I use primers is to minimise my pores. Or moon craters more likely. So far I haven;t found any primer that could survive my oily skin. My nose area is the most oily place on my face. I mean shiny in a middle of a day. And I do mean shiny, not the oh no, my nose is not completely matte any more. So any recommendations are more than welcome.
The newest victim in my stash is L’Oréal Paris Nude Magique Blur Cream in Light to Medium. It comes in two shades: light to medium and medium to dark. Honestly, there is basically no difference between shades. The tint is so sheer that once you blend it no difference can be found. The only way you could use it alone is if you are having an amazing skin day.
Texture wise, there is no difference from any other silicone based primer you can find in the marked. It behaves similar too: fills lines, enlarged pores, mattifies your skin and helps for your make up to last longer. One difference from the rest, is it’s lightweight feel on the skin.
It’s a great product to try if you have pores that need masking or want to have a couple more hours of make up wear (I scored 2 extra hours of glowy nose instead of a full on shine).
Have you tried this product? What primer are you currently using? Any recommendations?
