Good morning! Did I mention I am a foundation hoarder? Well, now you know. It’s one product I can’t get enough of. It helps not counting how many of those I actually have. As I am currently obsessed with asian beauty products, a new foundation was just waiting to happen. I have been eyeing cushion foundations for quite a while and finally decided to just give it a try.
My latest foundation addition is Etude House Lock’n Summer Precious Mineral Proof Any Cushion. You can get it at ebay here. If I am correct, this was a part of their last year summer collection, but I believe you can find the same product if you loose Lock’n Summer from the name.
The product itself is amazing. I have an extremely oily T zone and nothing stops it from getting shiny and gross. This cushion managed to do the impossible. My face stayed presentable during the whole day. A little bit of shine peaked through, but it only looked like a healthy glow.
I was surprised how brightening it is. I could liken it to using a shade to light concealer to highlight, but obviously without a concealer and colour mismatch. Just to be clear, I got the shade Light beige, which suits me perfectly. Any way, my skin looked bright and healthy. It stayed like that throughout the day, as foundation didn’t oxidise and become darker. Does it make you look tired as well?
I am in love with the whole concept of a cushion foundation. It lets you apply a teeny tiny amount of product and still get the coverage you need without it getting heavy or stifling. I would say Etude House Mineral Proof Any Cushion can give you medium to full coverage depending on how much you will apply. I feel like it acts a little bit as a mineral foundation and melts a little bit more into the skin. Or that’s just me. I still love how it looks after some wear time.
