THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE FLAWLESS BB CREAM

I’m a big fan of The Body Shop (not sure my bank account shares the sentiment). Though I never lingered much on their make up. I guess it’s a left over from lipstick I bought long time ago (few years now I guess). It had a horrible metal aftertaste. Which is a shame because it was beautiful colour. It put me off their make up for a long time (couldn’t look at it without cringing).

Last year though for unknown reason I picked up All-In-One BB cream which I actually liked. Which leads us to my recent purchase Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream (BTW have you ever noticed that that they have slightly different assortment of products in different countries? I checked out bigger part of websites, and most of them had this one). As I first swatched it on my hand, I liked it. It smelled strongly of tea tree (kind of obvious), blended easily and nicely. But then I gave it a go on my face. First time I used the same amount as of any other foundation without thinking. It caked up on me. Horribly. Comes without saying that it was removed instantly. Second time I was really careful applying small amounts and blending at once. But come on, one has only so much patience. After three thin layers there was absolutely no coverage (or it was minimal enough to not be noticed). Theoretically I could have tried to add fifth, ninth layer of it, but lets be realistic, on day to day basic that just not going to happen.

At this part I am no really sure what to do with it. I will give it a go as a base and see how that goes, but I seriously don’t see the point of spending money on this one. Maybe it was just my skin, which is combination towards oily, maybe there’s some weird method in which you should apply it but there surely were no instant or flawless looking skin. Unless you count my first try. And look from at least ten meters away. In the dark.
