As someone who needs blotting or powdering in the middle of the afternoon I have developed certain amount of aversion to oils. For the longest amount of time it was the bane of my existence and I certainly didn’t need any more oil to my shiny forehead and nose.
Last year I branched out to cleansing oils and haven’t looked back. These doesn’t stay on your skin for long and aren’t as worrisome. But leaving oil on your skin? Especially if it’s acne-prone? I think there’s enough horror stories to make you consider before trying it out.
As a rule, rose hip oils doesn’t come cheep and spending lots of money on something you might not be able to use is not overly smart. But here comes in my latest find – Life Flo Health Pure Rosehip Seed Oil. I can’t say how it compares to more expensive offerings, but for $5.28 it is great. I have been using it as my night time moisturiser. 4 drops are enough for my face and neck. It sinks in into the skin without leaving any residues or feeling greasy. After few weeks of usage my skin is brighter, healthier looking and my acne scars noticeably faded. I was pleasantly surprised when after few days of usage my skin felt less dehydrated.
I think it’s a great bargain for a rosehip oil. Especially as it performs beautifully. At the same time it’s a great way of trying it out and maybe then investing into more expensive alternatives.
Do you use any face oils? Have you tried other rosehip oils?
