I am a huge Bourjois fan. It’s my favourite drugstore brand. I guess that is perfectly reasonable as almost all of their products are amazing and work great (there might have been few that didn’t work for my skin type, but that is it). So, when a new bronzer made an appearance at the store, I just had to get my hands on it.
This is how Bourjois Mat Illusion Bronzing Powder came to be a part of my everyday make up routine. It is finely milled soft powder that smells amazing. While a scent is not something to look for in a make up, a nice cacao scent is always nice. I did spend a few minutes just scenting it when I got it… I picked up the lighter shade that gives a nice warm glow to the face without looking orange. It works great for contouring too. I like to use a bit of it to contour my nose and non existent cheekbones. It blends well into the skin, so it doesn’t look harsh and over the top.
If you tried to hunt down a good matte bronzer in a drugstore, you might have noticed that selection is quite poor. That makes me extra exited since Bourjois one has no shimmer whatsoever. It’s quite pigmented too, so should be used carefully.
