As it happens, I have a rather dry scalp, that tends to get itchy if I start gathering buildup. A scalp scrub is often recommended, but all I could find were rather expensive, especially for the product I am unsure I need. What if it doesn’t work and I will be left with an expensive tube of scalp scrub?
Completely accidentally, I ventured into the Body Shop store to pick up hand cream (love the smell of their product and they tend to absorb very well). As I always look throughout the whole store (not my best moments…) I happen to notice a big tube of something in a hair section. It being the scalp scrub was like it was meant to be.
As I got home I was jumping in excitement to try it. I was worried it might leave the scrubby parts in my hair, get very oily and I will have trouble trying to wash it out, but still, exited.
Once it got onto my wet scalp it lathered up whilst giving some of that scrubbing action. It worked similar to the Bumble and bumble Sunday shampoo. Removed all of the build-up in my hairs and made them squeaky clean, but without feeling dry and wheaty. Whilst after a bumble and bumble I had to use a nourishing and hydrating hair mask to pull all of the moisture back, with The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea™ Refreshingly Purifying Cleansing Hair Scrub I did actually wonder in a shower if simple conditioner would be enough. Hint, it was.
I might have avoided the big price tag, but if you need a quarter of a tube to do something, then that’s not really saving me much money, is it? I can happily announce that for one scalp cleaning session, I only needed about a half of a teaspoon of product (I have a big head okay?). So not only does it act as a shampoo (a good one also!), but also saves you a hefty amount of money, cause that tube – it’s gonna last me a while.
I definitely recommend trying it out if you haven’t so far, for it’s a great product and my hair look fabulous after every usage.
