Bloggers made me buy it. Vol.2

Is your shopping cart filled with recommendations from bloggers of products you want to try? I have a separate list of things people recommend and I am interested in trying. It’s a long list.

Whenever I am close to finishing up a certain product I didn’t fell in love completely with, I start looking for a new one (or check my list). I looked through my bathroom shelf and it appears that products from the list makes the bigger part. Today I wanted to share a few bits that sneakily got into my basket.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. There was a time when I this one and Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronised Recovery Complex II were on everyone’s must-have list. I was eyeing it, but it being oil, I felt hesitant. What a mistake that was. My combination skin sucks it up straight away. In the end result, I feel like my skin looks and feel way better than when I started. I started to apply a few drops in the mornings too on my cheeks where I have dry spots. Works great.

MAC Powder Blush in Harmony. I saw it on someones blog as a must have. I wish I could remember whose as I am halfway through it (if that doesn’t attest a great product, I don’t know what does). It doesn’t come up patchy and creates the most perfect shades on my pale winter face. What makes me especially happy – it isn’t overly pigmented. I can easily swirl my brush in it, apply to my face and don’t worry about looking muddy. Whilst doing mymake up with one eye still asleep, I find this very helpful.

Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24h Foundation . I have been using it for two months non-stop. At first, I didn’t like it at all. The overly perfumed scent and full on coverage was not something I was looking for. After first few initial uses it remained safely stashed inside my drawer. I pulled it out when colder weather hit as I wanted to give it one more chance. This time it applied very nicely and the strong scent didn’t bother me as much so I kept on using it. One day I was blotting oils of my face and then came the realisation that I was wearing it for 7 hours already and it still looks great. I might not get 24 hours of wear, but it sure does last through out my day.

Back in 2018, I travelled to Berlin for a few days. First thing I looked up – do they have Sephora (they do if you’re wondering). As I reached Sephora in Alexanderplatz the first place I looked was Fenty Beauty section. There I picked up a Fenty Beauty Bomb Baby Mini Lip and Face Set. I am in love with a gloss bomb, everything about it is perfect. It smells nice, isn’t sticky, lasts on the lips. I need more of those. The highlight is the most perfect shade for my pale face and the tiny size makes it more believable for me to finish it. I am saddened they didn’t have a foundation in my shade, but there’s always next time.

That’s it so far. I am trying to limit my spending for a few months. But lets be fair, that rarely works out.
