The Body Shop haul

The Body Shop Haul

The Body Shop store is a place I tend to avoid. I never leave it with just something I originally came in for. This time I ventured into a store only for a body yogurt, anything else…just happened. It’s like all willpower abandons me as soon as I put my foot in the store.  And the haul is the result…

British Rose Body Yogurt

If you haveb’t tried The Body Shop British Rose Body Yogurt out, do it. It is a perfect body moisturiser for summer. It’s lightweight and leaves your skin instantly nourished and hydrated. And the smell! I know it is the same scent, but I feel like it is better and stronger than in their body butters. It’s mindblowing. The best part of it (second do the scent of course) is that it absorbs so quickly. I love their body butters, but I mainly leave them for winter or a full on pamper day. It takes a long time to fully absorb so you can’t really get dressed for quite some time and once it gets warmer it feels like a thick layer of grease all over your skin. The body yogurt, on the other hand, is a complete opposite. I can spread it all over me and get dressed, it doesn’t leave any kind of film on my skin. Pure perfection.

Oils of Life™ Intensely Revitalising Cleansing Oil-In-Gel

I love my Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel and still think it’s one of the best makeup removers (and the tube makes it perfect for travelling), but when I saw The Body Shop Oils of Life™ Intensely Revitalising Cleansing Oil-In-Gel I had to try it. Not gonna lie, it being almost half the price had something to do with it. I had huge hopes for it and was left slightly disappointed. Do not misunderstand me, it’s a great product, but just not as great as Clarins one. It nicely spread all over my skin whilst melting all of the makeup. There is a note on a packaging to not use in on the eyes, so there’s that as I would spread Clarin gel all over my face, eyes included. That gives us an extra step, which I could honestly be without (I do get lazy in the evening occasionally). Removing it is an easy job, a warm cloth and you’re done. Although, if you prefer to wash it off with water, it does leave a film over your skin, as you probably would be getting a second cleanser action (it’s too heavy for my combination oily skin to use it as my main cleanser), it quickly goes away. All in all, it’s not bad and I am going to finish it off, but it will not be something I will be looking to repurchase.

British Rose Petal-Soft Gel Toner

With this one, I totally got sucked in by its looks. Good thing the product inside is great. Firstly it smells great (I have been obsessed with rose scents lately), but not irritating which I find with a lot of scented skincare products. The British Rose Petal-Soft toner itself is a gel-like consistency that spreads easily over your skin. It takes a minute to absorb and might feel a little bit sticky, but as I always layer serum and moisturise over the top, it completely goes away. Now what it does for your skin is the best part. It is an instant hydrated and plump skin in a bottle. We were having for hod and dry days which my skin certainly did not enjoy and was left dull and more dehydrated than usual. A small layer of this toner took it all away. It now became part of my daily skincare routine.

Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel

The Body Shop makes the best Grapefruit shower gel. It is one of my favourite scents from them, not sweet not overly flowery, but refreshing and uplifting. With summer and holidays coming up, I decided to treat myself, so there we are.

Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

I do not have dandruffs, but I do happen to have easily irritated and itchy scalp. I used to use The Body Shop Ginger Anti-Dandruff Shampoo whilst in my teens and it really helped. As I will be going on a holiday and travel minis section in drugstores are quite bereft at the moment I decided to pick it up and try if it’s as good as it used to be. A lovely ginger scent is also a plus.

Fuji Green Tea™ Refreshingly Hydrating Conditioner

I picked Fuji Green Tea™ conditioner up to pair with a shampoo mini as I still needed a conditioner and I haven’t tried this one out. Whilst my hair roots tend to be oily, my hair ends are stubbornly dry. It did get better with time and constant care, so it doesn’t look like a dried wheat, but if not looked after properly they tend to go dry on me. As of now, I can only assure you it smells nice, but once I try it out, I will get back to you how it goes.

When was your last trip/order from TBS? Do you also get sucked in by a lot of things going on in the store? I keep telling my self to go in, get what I need and quickly leave, but I am still leaving with few extras I was not intending to buy.
